Moved In!

It's been a fun and stressful past several days. Nugget, Steph, and I are all moved in now. We started bringing stuff in on Friday and had a TON of cleaning to do. There was cat fur everywhere. But now that most of that is all taken care of, we've had some time to relax and we all love it. The house is awesome, neighborhood is incredible, the people are friendly, there's beautiful homes everywhere, and there's tons of stores, bars, and restaurants just minutes away. I feel like I'm on a permanent vacation. So far, I'm extremely glad that we jumped on this. I really think moving down here will turn out to be a very wise choice.
Saturday was kinda crazy. The wind down there was really intense. The power went out in downtown Fairfield and it seemed like every other tree fell. Steph and I even had to dodge some downed power lines at one point. By Sunday night most of the hard work had been done, so I got to go up to a party in Derby with a bunch of the former Paier students. Had a blast. Those kids know how to party. That was also the night Kristen Fusco broke the news to me about Steve Erwin... poor guy. Shane said he had it comin'. I say Shane's the devil.
Labor day was great. Most of the day I just stayed in and acted lazy. Steph and I enjoyed some quality grape soda and wheat n' cheese crackers and watched a couple movies. That evening we went for a walk to check out the neighborhood and ended up going to St. Mary's by the Sea. It's in a beautiful neighborhood and was packed with people walking their dogs, fishing, having picnics, biking, going for a run, etc. It was awesome. It's hard to believe that you're in Bridgeport when you go there.
Later that night, Joe, Justin, Adam, Shane and Stacey all came down to visit. We showed them around, ordered some pizza and watched the Brave Little Toaster. I was really glad to get so many friends down there already. Hope the visitation keeps up!
I got the webcam working again. I'll keep it on from time to time. Check it out if you can't come see the place in person. Lots of pictures in the Newest Pics album as well!
