This weekend Steph and I noticed that Sadie was breathing heavily so we brought her down to the animal hospital to have her looked at. Sadly, we found out that she was suffering from a heart disease and that she wouldn't be coming back home with us.
She was just under 4 months of age, and full of life right up until her last day. I've never really been a big fan of cats until she came around. She'd always follow me and Steph everywhere we went, trying to help us cook or wash the dishes, sometimes clinging to my ass as I walked around the kitchen. She could never be by herself, and she was always finding something new to play with, whether it be a part of the bathroom sink, my chin, or the cord for the blinds. She couldn't go outdoors and loved to sit in the window and watch the birds, so we put her to rest in a park where she'll always be around plenty of them. It's been an extremely sad weekend for us. We both really loved her and will miss her very much.

Kaz:When I was younger, we had a cat that had the same problem, with the same result. I remember feeling extra sad because I remember telling the cat I wouldn't let him die...
If, in the future, you decide on another cat, can I suggest the Greater New Haven Cat Project..? They rescue feral cats, and are really a great group. Both our cats are from there. When you're ready, of course...
